Focused energy. Gradual, natural-looking change.

HIFU directs ultrasound energy to selected tissue depths beneath the skin’s surface. Controlled heating stimulates a collagen response, supporting gradual tightening and a lifted appearance. Treatment planning matters: the right depth and placement depend on the area and your individual anatomy.

Lift & define

Discuss mild to moderate laxity around the lower face, jawline and neck.

No needles

Ultrasound energy is delivered through a handpiece placed against the skin.

Personalized planning

Your provider assesses where lifting and tightening may help—and where another option may suit you better.

Inclusive care · Individual assessment

Why HIFU can suit melanin-rich skin

HIFU uses sound energy, which does not depend on absorption by melanin to reach its target. This makes focused ultrasound an option to consider across skin tones, including darker skin. LUVO describes PROLIFT HIFU as suitable for all skin types.

Our team has Clarion Medical Academy training and training in treating clients across all skin tones and ethnic backgrounds. We tailor care to the person in front of us, considering skin history, tissue thickness, facial anatomy and treatment goals.

More deeply pigmented skin generally has more melanin activity and different melanin distribution, rather than simply more melanocytes. Suitability is assessed individually; all skin tones can experience side effects.

Your questions, answered

Is this a nonsurgical facelift?

HIFU is often described as a “nonsurgical facelift” because it aims to lift and tighten without an operation. It provides a different degree of improvement from surgery and does not remove excess skin. We will help you understand what is realistic for your face.

How does HIFU compare with Morpheus8?

HIFU delivers focused ultrasound without needles and emphasizes lifting and tightening. Morpheus8 delivers radiofrequency through microneedles and may be considered for texture, firmness and other concerns. Neither is universally better; your priorities and assessment guide the recommendation.

When will I notice a change?

Changes develop gradually as the tissue responds. The amount of improvement, timing and need for additional sessions differ between people. We will discuss expectations and review your progress.

What can treatment feel like?

You may feel warmth, tingling or discomfort during energy delivery. Temporary redness, swelling or tenderness can occur. Less common complications can include burns, altered sensation, nerve effects or unwanted fat loss. Your provider explains the risks and aftercare before treatment.
