Your body tells a bigger story than weight alone.

Changes in body shape and composition can happen even when the number on the scale stays similar. ShapeScale brings your measurements and a photorealistic 3D model together, giving you a more visual way to follow your progress.

At METB, we help you put those results into context. Whether your focus is weight management, fitness or documenting body contouring progress, your scan can provide a baseline for a more informed conversation.

What can your scan show?

  • A 360-degree 3D view: see your body shape from multiple angles and compare scans over time.
  • Body composition estimates: body fat percentage, fat mass and lean mass. Lean mass includes more than muscle.
  • Limb lean mass: appendicular lean mass (ALM), an estimate of lean tissue in your arms and legs.
  • Body measurements: circumferences including waist, hips, chest, upper arms, thighs and calves, plus regional body volumes.
  • Additional insights: weight, BMI, estimated basal metabolic rate (BMR), visceral fat estimates and ShapeScale’s Shape and Health Scores.
  • Visual comparisons: scan overlays and change heatmaps help highlight where your shape is changing.

Available results depend on the scan and software. Body composition values are estimates; the scan does not directly measure internal tissues, diagnose disease or measure inflammation. Its scores support discussion and tracking alongside a clinical assessment.

Make your next step more personal.

  2. Complete your scan. Stand still on the platform while its scanning arm captures your body from around you. The optical scan is non-invasive and uses no ionizing radiation.
  3. Explore your results. Once processing is complete, review your 3D model and measurements with our team and access your results through your ShapeScale account.
  4. Track your journey. Agree on a suitable follow-up interval and use consistent conditions for meaningful comparisons.

Prepare for your appointment

Accept your ShapeScale email invitation and create your account before your visit. Wear or bring close-fitting clothing, such as fitted shorts or leggings and a fitted top or sports bra. Tie long hair up and follow our team’s positioning instructions. For repeat scans, aim for similar clothing, timing and conditions.

Questions before you book?

Will the scan help me lose weight?

The scan is a tracking tool. Its value is helping you understand changes and discuss your plan; it does not cause weight loss or guarantee results.

Can I use it with medical weight management?

Yes—scan results can complement your consultation and follow-up. Your clinician determines which assessments and care options are appropriate for you.

What happens to my scan data?

Your scan creates a detailed digital body model and associated measurements that are processed and stored through ShapeScale. Before scanning, our team will explain the consent process, account access and how your information is used in your care. Please ask any privacy questions before proceeding.
